3 Launching MS Paint Click on the Start Button Move the mouse up to the Programs Folder. Then move the mouse up to the Accessories Folder. Mouse over to the Paint icon, and click on it.

6 The Colour Palette To select the colour you’re working with, you use the Colour Palette. The Colour Palette is a part of the main Paint window, and looks like this:

7 What can you do with Ms Paint?

8 You can draw straight lines …... using the line tool

9 You can draw free- form lines … … using the pencil tool

10 You can draw an ellipse or a circle…... using the oval tool … which you can fill using the fill tool

11 You can draw rectangles or squares …... using the rectangle tool … which you can fill using the fill tool

12 You can draw curves …... using the curve tool

13 You can draw polygons …... using the polygon tool

14 You can type and format text …... using the text tool

15 You can paint …... using the paint brush … or by using the Airbrush tool

16 To take out bits you don’t want you can …... rub them off using the eraser. … click on Edit and then Undo or simply by holding down the Ctrl key and pressing the Z key. … start again completely by pressing Image and after Clear Image.

17 To insert a picture … 2.On the Edit menu, click Paste From. 1. Select an area using the Rectangle Select tool. 3.Specify the name of the bitmap file you want to insert. 4.Click Open.

18 To print … On the File menu click Print.

19 Finally, do not forget to save your work. You can do this by …... clicking Save As on the File menu. … and then giving a name to the File.
