Interesting Facts Coe Lake is actually an old quarry that was mined for sandstone in the late 1800’s-early 1900’s. Coe Lake Project was started in 2003 Everything here is sustainable: recycled trail surface, recycled #1 & 2 plastic benches, picnic tables & bridge surface, native vegetation planted, prairie soil recycled foundry sand/ash. You can improve your own backyard, making it wildlife friendly like Coe Lake has become. Just ask us how!

While Lessons are Occurring Team Leaders will rotate through classrooms ensuring all resources are provided for lessons to run smoothly. Team Leaders will keep a log/journal during the entire outing. Noting changes in lessons, what we need next time, what works, what doesn’t,…etc. Teachers must communicate possible changes & needs to Team Leaders. Most important part is “TIMING”. Without disrupting flow of lesson, hint to teacher 5 minute warning. Then again at 2 minutes until they have to rotate. Walk Classroom 4 students to Classroom 1. Other classrooms won’t require your assistance during transition times.

At the Conclusion of Lessons Teachers escort students to the bridge. Stay in 4 distinct pods around the bridge for proximity control. Team leaders briefly summarize lessons. Sing the Coe Lake Song one more time. Team leaders escort students back to bus on the gazebo side.
