2007-08 5 Discovery n Continue progress toward a goal of publishing an average of 2 refereed journal articles per faculty member each year. (last year 1.25) n Maintain external funding of $125,000 or more per faculty member in the department. (last year $132,000)

2007-08 6 Learning n Complete departmental and program area summaries for the external and NCA/HLC accreditation reviews, and continue SPA review preparations. n Develop coherent plans for summer school and online course offerings.

2007-08 7 Engagement n Participate actively in available engagement initiatives (e.g., DLC, CRESME). n Systematically document all engagement activities.

2007-08 8 Overarching n Prepare for and successfully complete the external review of graduate programs in the department. n Develop, in consultation with college leadership, an annual department report of all efforts in discovery, learning, and engagement. n Develop communication plans to publicize and seek development support for key C&I programs.
