5 Be sure your animal is healthy before taking it anywhere.

6 Vaccinate? Check with a veterinarian to know what/if is appropriate

7 Use fly and insect repellent

8 Keep bedding clean and manure piles to a minimum

9 Disinfect new stalls, pens, etc. before putting an animal inside 1 part bleach – 10 parts H2O

12 Don’t allow your animal to touch noses with another

15 Let water fall to the bucket, don’t submerge hoses

16 Some Animals can be carriers and only shed during times of stress
