SAFE FAQ Does the patient have to pay for the exam? Do they have to go through the entire exam to have it covered by SAFE?

SAFE FAQ What is covered by SAFE? ED visit Examiner time Physician time Supplies used STI prophylaxis

SAFE FAQ What isn’t covered by SAFE? If patient presents with no injury then they are responsible for Plan B Labs Pregnancy testing

SAFE FAQ What isn’t covered by SAFE? If patient presents with injury that requires additional medical care they are responsible for ED Visit (or split billing) Physician diagnosis & medical care Any labs, sutures, testing, etc. required for medical care outside of SAFE

BILLING SAFE FAQ Can a billing agent submit the claim? What needs to be on the itemized statement? How do I check payment status for a claim? How do I find out who my Coordinator is?

VICTIMS OF CRIME COMPENSATION Can assist with expenses incurred such as medical, lost wages, mileage, replacement clothing Eligibility requirements may affect applicability Encourage them to apply
