3. Written Response May 5th Light can interact with objects in a variety of ways. Light can be transmitted through a window and light can be reflected off shiny objects like mirrors. Light can also be absorbed as in the summer when you wear dark colored clothing; you feel hotter in dark colors. Lastly light can be refracted or bent. This bending of light can be seen when you stick a straw into a glass of water. Light travels at different speeds so the straw appears bent.

Structures of the Human Ear – write these notes Outer Ear catches sound waves and funnels them into the ear canal where they strike the eardrum (middle ear) Eardrum is a thin, taut membrane which vibrates as sound waves strike As the eardrum vibrates, it causes tiny bones on the other side of the eardrum to vibrate also.
