Graduation Requirements – Class of 2019
26 Total Credits 4 credits in English (English I, II, III and a credit in the senior year) 4 credits in Social Studies (World Cultures, U.S. History I, U.S. History II, and senior Economics unless a senior AP class is selected)

3 credits in Science 3 High School credits in Mathematics (including Algebra I and Geometry; Algebra A and B will satisfy the Alg. I graduation requirement and 2 of 3 required credits) 2 credits in Humanities/Applied Arts (World Lang., Music, Art, Engineering and Tech, FACS, Philosophy, or an additional English and/or Social Studies credit)

Graduation Requirements – Class of 2019
1.6 credit in Physical Education (one PE course each year) .6 credit in Health 6.8 credits in non-required majors/elect. 1 credit for the Culminating Portfolio 3 KEYSTONE exams- Algebra I, Biology, and English Literature

Requirements for Promotion
At least 6.5 Cr. must be earned to promote to Grade 10. (13 cr. to Gr cr. to Gr. 12) Freshmen will usually carry 7.4 – 7.6 cr. *FIVE MAJORS = credits *Phys. Ed. = .4 credits *Electives = 1.4 – 2.2 credits (approx.) *2-3 Study Halls/Week for preparation

Athletics and College Requirements
High school course work in major subjects must be taken at a level 2 or higher to meet core academic requirements to compete in Division I and II athletics at the college level. A list of NCAA approved core courses for Dallastown is available at Our code number is

DAHS Scheduling Please note the following… A scheduling timeline will be given to each student during the first classroom presentation. Parents are encouraged to assist their child during the scheduling process. Our Curriculum and Course Offerings Guide is available online. Students will be given directions to access the guide. HS counselors are always available for questions.

Scheduling Requirements
Each student must schedule at least 5 major subjects and a minimum of 34 total periods each year. A minimum of 2 and maximum of 6 periods should be allowed for study halls.

ENGLISH WORLD CULTURES GENERAL SCIENCE MATHEMATICS 5th MAJOR Physical Education Sufficient number of electives to complete a schedule with 34-38 total periods

Keystone Exams Keystone Exams will cover the following core academic subjects: Algebra Biology English Literature Classes of 2017 and beyond will be required to demonstrate proficiency on all three tests.
