Using the Canadian Foreign Affairs and International trade website Analyse a recent Canadian government ‘Travel Report & Warning’ of one of the following countries: Greece, Kenya, Mexico, Japan, Somalia, Cambodia, Libya, Haiti, Israel/Palestine or other approved country. Answer the following questions. a) Country’s Name:_______________________________________ b) ‘Level of Caution’ recommended for the country:_______________ c) Why did the Canadian government choose that level of caution? d) What are the listed ‘3. Safety & Security’ concerns for that country?

Develop a poster campaign Design a 8x11’ poster or flyer that would help inform Canadian Tourists about the one following negative aspects about travel: a) Exploitation of children/people in the sex-tourism trade. Or b) A travel disease (eg Travellers’ Diarrhea, Yellow Fever, Malaria, Ebola, Hepatitis A or Hepatitis B). Or c) An essential travel safety tip(s) for a student/young adult traveling overseas.

Poster needs to include: Colour & images/photos Information about how the negative issue occurs Information for a tourist on how to ‘identify’/ ‘become aware of’ that negative travel aspect Information on how to avoid or prevent that negative issue from happening Imaginative title for poster to attract tourist’s attention Exhibit neatness and effort Be designed for a target audience of student/young adult travels
