2 25 The fear of man brings a snare, But whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe. (Proverbs 29:25 NKJV)

3 4 “I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. 5 But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after your body has been killed, has authority to throw you into hell.

4 Yes, I tell you, fear him. 6 Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. 7 Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. (Luke 22:4-7 – NKJV)

7 Fear of man has been named as the number one fear among believers. 42 Yet at the same time many even among the leaders believed in him. But because of the Pharisees they would not openly acknowledge their faith for fear they would be put out of the synagogue; 43 for they loved human praise more than praise from God. (John 12:42-43)

8 Somebody said this about ‘the fear of man’, “When you are bound by the snare of the fear of man, man is now your meter of acceptance, your standard of success. Your joy is now tied to the fickle feelings of people. It is man’s approval you now seek, It is man’s standards you now judge by. It is man’s opinions and advice that you now value, it is man’s wisdom you now esteem. In short, as man goes, so you go.

18 How do we get free from the fear of man? 1)Admit it is a problem 2)Get help from someone you trust The fear of man brings a snare, But whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe. (Proverbs 29:25 NKJV)
