Sampling Procedures & Methods 4-5 hr sampling events week prior to broiler and roaster movement 2002 = 10 days; 2003 = 9 days (summer flocks) Total dust: gravimetric using 37mm cassettes and pumps calibrated at 2 L/min. (NIOSH # 0500) Ammonia: Gastec dosimeter tubes # 3DL (10 ppm) and Impinger method (OSHA ID-164) H 2 SO 4 : 10L tedlar bags sent to ISU (Jerome 631 H 2 SO 4 Analyzer) Odor: 10L tedlar bags sent to ISU (AC’Scent International Standard Olfactometer)
