13 No Accreditation? Southern Catholic College – Non accredited university, recently shut down & students needed to apply to other schools to continue their education  Did their credits transfer?  Did the school shut down because of it’s inability to get accredited?  Did many students choose not to attend because of the lack of accreditation?

14 Discussion 1. Do you think differently of students graduating from non-accredited programs? 2. Would you have come to UD if it were not accredited? 3. Do you think that if a college loses its accreditation that it should be retroactive? Should the alumni from previous graduating classes also lose their accreditation in their degrees? How many years back should this go? 4. Should accreditation be monitored by the government on a National scale rather than by private investigators? 5. Should the UD Teacher Education Program seek out NCATE certification, the most well-recognized accreditation for teacher education programs in the U.S.?
