CONCLUSION Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, Malaysia Malaysian Centre for Remote Sensing (MACRES) Remote sensing and related technologies are useful tools for Disaster Management, Natural Resources, Environmental Management, and National Security. These technologies have been proven to be useful for mapping and monitoring various application and other relatively extreme weather phenomenas. Repetitive coverage of earth surface areas by satellite imagery provides a means of monitoring processes on a regular basis. MACRES being a national centre entrusted for the development and application of remote sensing will provide all the necessary support to operationalise the technology.
