Financial Facts During the past 5 years the school district trimmed $3.5 million dollars from its budget.During the past 5 years the school district trimmed $3.5 million dollars from its budget. The Texas Comptroller rated CHISD as one of the top-rated school districts in the state. The Comptroller gave CHISD a 5-star rating in its Financial Allocation Study of Texas (FAST). Community bond planning The committee present their recommendations to the CHISD Board of Trustees. The committee’s recommendation was the basis for the bond and TRE packages that voters will consider on November 8, 2011

What is included in the bond?

Construction began on the first Cedar Hill school building in 1906. It was completed for a total cost of $10,000 and opened for the1908-09 school year.
