1 TOGETHER IN HISTORY SLOVAKIA 7th – 13th June 2011

2 After the first meeting of the 5 countries teaching teams in October 2010 in Turkey, pupils from the 5 countries met on 7th June 2011, in Partizánske, in Slovakia. There, Slovak pupils, teachers and parents warmly welcomed multinational partners. Each pupil spent a week in a Slovak family with his or her correspondent. The Mayor of the city also kindly received the delegation. During 6 days, pupils and education teams, divided into 5 international groups, gathered around several activities about History. They travelled in time and in the 5 countries, thanks to Gorazd, an imaginary character. They also visited castles, churches, a zoo always guided by Gorazd who, thanks to treasure hunts, games, contests and competitions, managed to gather and motivate all groups. TOGETHER IN SLOVAKIA

3 This mobility made each one of us feel European, discover another culture, learn more about our common memory in relation with history and leave behind some apprehensions. As the days went on, pupils established friendship ties with their partners, using only English as a common means of communication. TOGETHER IN SLOVAKIA
