Consider the statement in the heading of this slide. Do you agree or disagree with the statement? Why?

The USA Patriot Act stands for: Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act of 2001  It gives the FBI the power to conduct searches of your personal items including your home, your email, your medical records and your phone calls without your permission  It also give the government the right to detain or deport immigrants indefinitely Why was this act created? Was it justified?
