war on terrorism After the terrorist attacks on 9-11, the Bush administration declared a “war on terrorism” This “war” gave more power to the executive branch of government to investigate acts of terrorism and to prevent future acts of terrorism.

racial profiling Government activity directed at a suspect or group of suspects based solely on race. A form of racism consisting of the (alleged) policy of policemen who stop and search vehicles driven by persons belonging to particular racial groups.
