Background Lot’s Wife is the primary student magazine at Monash University’s Clayton campus and has been a fundamental element of campus life for over 50 years. With a monthly print distribution in addition to a constant online presence, Lot’s Wife publishes a wide range of pieces which are written by both students and prominent figures from within society. The magazine endevours to provide relevant information to students, allowing them access to knowledge that transcends that which they are taught in the classroom. It also serves as an outlet which students can use to acquire experience which can be transferable to the workplace. In 2015, the magazine will be separated into five distinct areas; politics, student affairs, art and culture, science and engineering and sex.

It is distributed at key locations such as the humanities and science buildings, campus centre and recently the halls of residence. It currently has print runs of 2500 which is subject to increase at periods such as ‘o-week’ when student presence and activity on campus is greater. In 2015, the incoming editors hope to extend distribution to Monash College (the associated TAFE) and in locals bars which are often visited by Monash students.
