An Information literate person can: Identify their information needs Find information using a range of print and electronic resources Evaluate information Use information effectively for problem-solving and decision- making; and Communicate information in various formats to other people “To be information literate, a person must be able to recognize when information is needed and have the ability to locate, evaluate, and use effectively the needed information.” ALA, 1998
