Task One Present a picture of the person. It may be drawn, cut from a magazine, photocopied, or printed from the internet This task is Achieved only, so no higher grade is possible ACHIEVED

Task Two - Timeline AchievedTimeline has an equal scale with index years clearly labelled. Has at least five events. Has a title. MeritSame as Achieved but includes at least 8 events and title says “Who, What, and When” ExcellenceSame as Merit but includes at least 10 events, and dates of events are clearly labelled EXCELLENCE (1874 – 1950)

Task Three - Map AchievedHas a least 3 conventions & at least 3 features labelled correctly MeritHas at least 4 conventions, title says “Who, What, Where” & has at least 8 events. Task Four - Paragraphs AchievedHas some description of the person’s life. Reasons for inclusion in Hall of Fame may be implicit. An attempt at using SEX or SEE structure MeritGives at least 2 or 3 reasons for the person’s inclusion which are expressed explicitly. SEX or SEE structure used at least once ExcellenceSame as Merit except 4 reasons are given all using SEX or SEE structure, with justifications for reasons. EXCELLENCE

Extra for Experts Some students choose to add more information to make their assignments more comprehensive. This is not essential, but will increase the likelihood of a excellence grade.

References A reference list is a list of all the resources that were used to make your assignment. This will include any books, internet websites, magazines, newspapers or videos that you may have used. As a rule a minimum of 5 different resources should be used, this is for 2 main reasons: It ensures that you have a wide variety of information about your person It ensures that your information is factually correct. For example some websites have false information.
