GROWTH ANDHIGHER LEARNING APPLIED LEARNING INSTITUTE (ALI) Technical Careers Teachers work with colleges to offer college levelwork in high school No need for accuplacer test For grades 11-12 CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT PROGRAM (CEP) College Courses in high school! Earn college credit Must pass accuplacer test For grades 11-12 ONLINE LEARNING Elective courses-rotation Flex Wednesday offerings

Credit Recovery Options Students earn ½ (.5) credits per SEMESTER That equates to one credit per year Students must average a passing grade to gain semester credit Taking additional courses instead of electives in grades 10-12 Taking online courses instead of electives in addition to required courses Taking additional courses instead of electives in grades 10-12 Taking online courses instead of electives in addition to required courses Night School Students can earn only one credit per year Students stay after school at least one night per week, work with teacher

Assessments Accuplacer: Determines if students are “college ready” and can enroll in the CEP (Concurrent Enrollment Classes) Optional ACT: New this year REQUIRED All juniors MUST take the ACT Plus Writing to graduate from high school starting this year Test will be administered at the school, there is no cost to parents April 28 main testing date May 12 make-up date PLAN and EXPLORE tests were given to grades 8 and 10 in November Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment (MCAIII) REQUIRED Math: grades 3-8, 11 Reading: grades 3-8, 10 Science: grades 5, high school Measures of Academic Progress (NWEA MAP) NOT STATE REQUIRED Grades K-7: Reading, Math, Language Arts
