RESEARCH DESIGN Malaria Epidemic
2
Hypothesis In malaria endemic countries like Nigeria if the option to have both antimalarial drugs and its prevention kit is unavailable, the antimalarial prevention kit is a better solution to the malaria epidemic in Nigeria than the anti malaria treatment.
3
AIM To reduce the amount of death caused by malaria daily Preventive measures are more cost effective than antimalarial drugs Helps solve the 4 th and 6 th Millennium Development Goal( MDG) which is a) Reduce child mortality b) Combat malaria and other diseases
4
In vivo (Humans) The experiment will have two test groups and two control group Goal of this experiment will be to determine how many people fall down with malaria with the next year in these four groups
5
Group A will be placed on anti malarial drugs but with no prevention kit Group B will be placed on a placebo antimalarial drug but with malaria prevention kit. Group C will not be placed on any antimalarial drug and also will not be given any prevention kit Group D will be given both antimalarial drugs and antimalarial prevention kit
6
Parameters of this research Patients age group Patients blood count Patients that have suffered from malaria in the last year Patients that are suffering from another disease and are also suffering from malaria Patient will be chosen from the same environment an example will be 200 people living in jimeta Yola
7
200 patients Age parameterGroup AGroup BGroup CGroup D Toddler to child10 Child to teenager10 Teenager to young adult10 Young adult to adult10 Adult to elder10
8
Expected result of group A While out of the other 50 patient placed on antimalarial drug without prevention kit 13 patients will developed malaria AgeStatistics Toddler to child5 Child to teenager2 Teenager to young adult 2 Young adult to adult1 Adult to elder3
9
Expected result of group B Out of all the 50 patients placed on the placebo antimalarial drug with the prevention kit only 6 patients will develop malaria. Agestatistics Toddler to child2 Child to teenager1 Teenager to young adult0 Young adult to adult0 Adult to elder3
10
Expected result of group c Out of all the 50 patients placed on the control group 31 patients will develop malaria. Agestatistics Toddler to child8 Child to teenager6 Teenager to young adult5 Young adult to adult5 Adult to elder7
11
Expected result of group d Out of all the 50 patients placed on the control group with both antimalarial and prevention kit only 3 patients will have malaria Agestatistics Toddler to child1 Child to teenager1 Teenager to young adult0 Young adult to adult0 Adult to elder1

GROUP C
15
Comparing the first three variables
16
Comparing all the variables
17
Discussion When comparing all the variable we can see that group D had the lowest numbers, followed by group B then group A and lastly group C.
18
conclusion After comparing all the different experimental group, Patient suffering from malaria will be advised to both use prevention kit and anti malaria drugs but if there is only one of each available, it is advisable that the patient be given malaria prevention kit.
