2. Highlights Five colleges comprise the Lone Star College System, each with an Alternative Teacher Certification Program. The Lone Star College System has a 1,400 square-mile service area across North Harris and Montgomery Counties. Over 3,000 teachers have completed Texas K-12 standard teacher certification through the LSCS Alternative Teacher Certification Programs.

5. Do I qualify for ATCP? 6. Do I qualify for ATCP? Have completed at least a bachelors degree from an accredited U.S. institution –Official, sealed copies of transcripts required –Evaluations of transcripts from outside the U.S. must state “equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree” www.naces.orgwww.naces.org GPA >= 2.5 overall, or on last 60 hours –Limited exceptions may be allowed

7. Do I qualify for ATCP? Speak and understand the English language sufficiently to use it easily and readily in conversation and teaching Have acceptable scores on skills testing in reading, written communication and mathematics within the last 5 years Have not taught for three years in Texas on a non-standard teaching certificate
