The Bible is the Word of God: Internal Evidence…Summary Examples Eyewitness Accounts “[Simon Greenleaf] is the highest authority cited in our courts” - U.S. Chief Justice Melville Fuller 1888-1910 “If any ancient document concerning our public rights had been lost, copies which had been as universally received and acted upon as the four gospels have been would have been received in evidence in any of our courts, without the slightest hesitation. The entire text of the Corpus Juris Civilis (Code of Justinian) is received as authority in all the courts of Continental Europe upon much weaker evidences of genuineness” - Simon Greenleaf 1783-1853

The Bible is the Word of God: Internal Evidence…Summary Examples Legal Testimony “I have never, to my recollection, seen a case in which judges were not convinced of the truth of the Gospel, where they have attended meetings, in the revivals which I have witnessed. I have often been very much affected, in conversion with members of the legal profession, by the manner which they would consent to propositions to which person of ill disciplined minds would have objected…Indeed, as a general thing, they take a more intelligent view of the whole plan of salvation than any other class of men to whom I have ever preached or with whom I have ever conversed.” -Charles G. Finney Luke 1:1-4; 2 Peter 1:16-21
