3 Current CI Data Exchange Standard requires designation of Primary Instructional Method Additional Primary Instructional Methods are stored in the database MedBiquitous CI Working Group is currently discussing pros and cons of requiring Primary Instructional Method Reporting Changes to Standard will not be implemented for 2-3 years Primary Instructional Method

4 Collect data regarding each medical school’s graduates knowledge, skills, attitudes, preparedness for residency at end of first and third year of residency Many schools currently conducting surveys Move toward national survey under discussion Reduce local effort Provide standard format for Residency Program Directors completing surveys for PGY-1’s and PGY-3’s from multiple medical schools National survey (if implemented) would be part of the Matriculation Questionnaire / Graduation Questionnaire Process National Program Director Survey

5 Pilot has 10 schools testing the 13 Core EPAs Each school is working on four EPAs Each EPA has a mini-working group of three individuals from the three schools working on that EPA. Core teams convening for second retreat next week 4 Working Groups Team Leaders, Assessment and Curriculum Faculty Development Entrustment All lessons learned will be shared through a new website and listserv scheduled to launch early next month Core EPAs for Entering Residency (CEPAER)
