Travel Information OUTWARD Meet at Manchester Airport Terminal 1 at 8.30am Tuesday July 3 rd Fly with Lufthansa to Munich, 6 hour stop (LH2501) Fly with Lufthansa to Delhi, arriving at 6.45 am (LH 762) INWARD Leave Delhi 01.15am (Swiss Air) Tues 10 th Fly to Zurich, 45min transfer (LX147) Arrive Manchester 8 am Terminal 1 10 th July (LX390)

3. Baggage allowance One checked in bag of up to 23 kg Please note that the maximum size per item does not exceed 158cm (length + width + height) One piece of hand luggage A piece of hand luggage may not be larger than 55 cm x 40 cm x 23 cm and may not weigh more than 8 kg One other personal item can be taken on board in addition to hand baggage allowance. One laptop bag or one shoulder bag, maximum dimensions 40 x 30 x 10 cm Don’t forget the restrictions for hand luggage!

Itinerary Day/DateTimeDetails of the Programme Wednesday/ 04.07.2012 Morning 9.30 a.m.  Arrival & Introduction to the host students in the school. 10.00 a.m. to 11.05 a.m.  Tour of the school 11.05 a.m.  Lunch at school. 11.40 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.  Visiting students will be attending classes along with Host students. 1.15 p.m. to 2.00 p.m.  Packing their belongings. 2.00 p.m.  Meeting/Introduction of the host parents with visiting Students at dispersal.

5. Thursday/ 05.07.2012 8:00 a.m.  Arrival at the school 8:15 a.m.  Special Assembly in M.P.H. (Class-X students) 9.15 a.m. to 11.05 a.m.  Attending classes 11:05 a.m.  Lunch at school 12.00 noon to 5.30 p.m.  Visit to Lotus temple and Qutub Mina 6.00 p.m.  Arrival at school (Visiting students will be taken to the respective homes by the host parents)

6. Friday/ 06.07.2012 8:00 a.m.  Arrival at the school 8.30 p.m. to 12.30 p.m.  Departure for H.O. (Meeting with President-Apeejay Education Society) 12.30 p.m. to 1.00 p.m.  Lunch Enroute 1.30 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.  Visit to Dilli Haat 6.30 p.m.  Arrival at school (Visiting students will be taken to the respective homes by the host parents)

7. Saturday/ 07.07.2012 8:00 a.m.  Arrival at the school  (Baggage for 1 night stay and comfortable dress for sight seeing at Agra) 9.00 a.m. to 11.05 a.m.  Visiting students will be working on their project. 11.05 a.m. to 12.00 noon  Lunch 2.00 p.m.  Departure for Agra Sunday/ 08.07.2012  Sight Seeing at Agra Back by evening  Arrival at school (Visiting students will be taken to the respective homes by the host parents)

8. Monday/ 09.07.2012 8:00 a.m.  Arrival at the school 8.30 a.m.  Departure from school 10.00 a.m.-3.00 noon  Visit to Lal Quila, Akshardham Temple and India Gate (lunch enroute) 4.00 p.m.  Arrival at school (Visiting students will be taken to the respective homes by the host parents)

9. Tuesday/ 10.07.2012 8:00 a.m.  Arrival at the school 9.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m.  Valedictory function 11.00 a.m.  Meeting with Principal followed by Lunch (with host and guest students) 2:00 p.m.  Departure to their respective home to pack their belongings 7:30p.m.  Arrival at school by 7:30 p.m. sharp 8.30 p.m.  Departure to the Airport

10. Health Recommend a vegetarian diet Drink only bottled water, even to clean teeth Avoid drinks with ice, salads and unpeeled fruit Cool, cotton clothes for a temperature of 40 o C; long trousers for school and mosques Bring personal medicines, pain killers and anti- diarrhoeal medication (for journey home!) Sun cream, hat and insect repellents

11. Money/phones The Indian Rupee is a restricted currency – cannot be taken in or out of the country Pounds must be exchanged in India Exchange rate £1= 85 INR Mobile phone calls are expensive, £1.75 per min If taking a phone check with service provider Can buy SIM card in Delhi but phone needs to be unlocked Don’t forget electrical adaptor
