State Legislation HB 1116: Military Education & Training - enacted July 1, 2012 HB 1116: Military Education & Training - enacted July 1, 2012 Requires a state educational institution to award educational credit for courses that: (1) are part of the individual's military service; (2) meet the standards of ACE for awarding academic credit; and (3) meet the state educational institution's role, scope, and mission.

HB 1230: Combat to College Program introduced/ active Requires a state educational institution to provide: (1) a centralized location for admissions, registration, and financial administration services for veteran students; (2) reasonable accommodations for disabled veteran students at a state educational institution's fitness facility; (3) academic guidance specifically to veteran students; (4) access to counseling services or resources to veteran students who are disabled or suffering from post traumatic stress disorder; and

HB 1230: Combat to College Program (5) job search programs designed for veteran students; (6) a program coordinator; (7) a hiring preference policy for veteran students; (8) postsecondary credit for military training in accordance with the American Council of Education recommendations.

HB 1025: Resident tuition (Veterans) introduced/ active Provides that Indiana veterans are eligible for the resident tuition rate for undergraduate courses upon enrolling at a state educational institution not later than 12 months after their separation from the United States armed forces. - HB 1368:Resident tuition (Spouses/ Dependents)
