2 What is Linkedin? A business-oriented social networking website primarily used for professional networking. Founded in December 2002 and launched in May 2003 As of October 2009, it had more than 50 million registered users spanning more than 200 countries and territories worldwide.

3 Connections The purpose of Linkedin is to allow registered users to maintain a list of contact details of people they know and trust in business. The people in the list are called Connections. Connections, second-degree connections, third-degree connections. Connections can gain you an introduction to someone through a mutual, trusted contact.
