Biology is interested in solving problems by whatever methods. Computer mathematics is interested in developing methods for whatever problem. The two interests are “orthogonal” and, therefore, do not always meet easily. “Algebraic Biology”: attempt to meet, interact, … solve “algebraic”: emphasis on discrete, “hybrid numeric” algebraic, logic
