Health and Wellbeing Ireland will aim to: 1.Advance current and expected EU legislation in the area (Serious Cross-border Health Threats, Health for Growth, Tobacco Products, Psychoactive Substances) 2.Continue work on the Reflection Processes and highlight issues at the Informal Health Ministers meeting

2. Research and Innovation Ireland will aim to: 1.Advance current EU legislation in the area (Clinical Trials, Medical Devices, Transparency …) 2.Organise conferences and events around this theme

Clinical Trials – Ireland aims to make significant progress on the proposal Medical Devices A complex dossier, Ireland will endeavour to make as much progress as possible during our Presidency. Cross Border Health Threats Ireland will hope to finalise this dossier. Health for Growth Programme Ireland will hope to finalise this dossier. Legislation

Tobacco Products This proposal is a priority for the Minister for Health. Ireland will make every effort possible to make good progress on this dossier. Transparency of measures – pricing & reimbursement of medicines Ireland recognises that this is a difficult dossier for many Member States. Ireland will hope to progress negotiations.
