2 Bird’s Eye view A picture with bird’s eye view is one in which the picture is taken from a higher point of view, usually showing the upper side of the subject.

3 These picture genuinely show a bird’s eye view shot
These picture genuinely show a bird’s eye view shot. As you can see, some have a very low horizon as opposed to the one that doesn’t have a horizon at all.

4 Worm’s eye view Worm’s eye view is when the picture is taken as if the photographer was much lower than the subject. Subject is usually shown from a low point of view with a very high horizon in the background.

These pictures all show a worm’s eye view. Some have a high horizon, and some don’t have one at all.

6 Shallow depth of field A picture has a shallow depth of field when the background is mostly eliminated or blurred out. Usually, only the main subject is shown while the rest is completely out of focus.

7 In the following pictures, there is a shallow depth of field caused mostly by the eliminated background.

8 Wide depth of field When a picture has a wide depth of field the background is included. One can usually tell the distance between the objects in the picture and the depth is easy to see.

9 In these examples of pictures with a wide depth of field the background is included and it is easy to tell which of the subjects are closest to each other.
