3. What Are The Goals? Apply standards to an undisciplined process Use technology to improve data management Use technology to make information readily available Provide a tool for reconciliation and elimination of intragovernmental transactions

6. How Will We Get There? Use Simplified Acquisition as model for the process Define data standards to support acquisition life cycle, financial reporting, and elimination Use BPN registration process to capture data on federal buyers and sellers Reuse existing technology

7. Where Are We Now? Business process rules and data standards issued on 10/4/02 Initial BPN registration completed for all 24 major agencies and many small agencies Systems being modified for prototype testing to start in Spring 03 Prototype testing team assembled and meeting on regular schedule
