The Stevenson Ancestors Jane Stewart (MA7) James Stewart (MA5) Christina Stewart (MA1) John Stewart (MA2) The MacArthurs and Stewarts (the MacDonald ancestors) (MA) OVERVIEW The Stevenson Ancestors Janet/Jane MacArthur (MA6) Mary Stewart (MA3) Duncan MacArthur (MA4) Jane Stewart (MA12) Brother and sister MA5 and MA7 each got married and had children (MA11 and MA12) who married each other. So instead of having 4 grandparents each (totalling 8 grandparents) they shared one set of grandparents, so only had 6 grandparents. ie they married their first cousins The Stevenson Ancestors James MacDonald (MA10) Jean Stewart (MA8) Alexander MacDonald (MA9) Donald MacDonald (MA11) married

Same family or not? Christina Stewart (MA1) John Stewart (MA2) Marriage date & place unknown The MacArthurs and Stewarts (the MacDonald ancestors) (MA) Christina and John Stewart Ie Grand parent of the 7/8 sisters John Stewart and his wife Christina Stewart (Née Stewart) at Meikle Trochrie had a son born about the 10 th of October baptized Lagginalachie named James (MA5). I cannot find this in the old parish records but is reported in other family trees Who married Janet MacArthur (MA6) in 1824 Not yet researched! Ie Grand parents of the 7/8 sisters Married Mary Stewart daughter of MA5 and MA6 and sister of MA12 and had children Janet, Christy, James, Donald, Jane, Ales and Mary ( Source Jane MacDonald family document) Parents were MA8 and MA9 Parents were MA1 and MA2 NB I think John and wife Mary are the Jane Macdonald line, whose records ive utilised in preparing this document
