3. Why Ministry To Men? George Barna found that: 3½% of families follow, when a child is the first to attend church. 17% of families follow, when a mom/wife is the first to attend church. ----- BUT ----- 93% of families follow, when a dad/husband is the first to attend church!

According to statistics from the National Coalition of Men’s Ministries… 113 million men over 18 years or older 69 million don’t know Christ 85% of these were once in a church 6 million are in discipleship (1 in 18) (Can you imagine having two baseball teams & only one player knows how to play the game!) 72 million children under the age of 18

5. 24 million (1/3 of them) will go to bed in home without a biological father 50% of all first marriages will end in divorce affecting 1 million children each year 1/3 of all children will be born out of wedlock

6. More Statistics About Men… 3.2% of male population is in prison 88% of all homicides are male 79% of all suicides are male Typical U.S. congregation is 39% male 70% of boys will abandon church in teens & twenties

7. For every 10 men in the average church... 9 will have children who leave the church 8 will not find their jobs satisfying 6 will pay monthly minimum on credit cards

8. For every 10 men in the average church... 5-6 will have a major problem with pornography 4 - 5 will get divorced All 10 will struggle to balance family and work

10. MAKE CHRISTLIKE DISCIPLES OF MEN IN THE NATIONS!

11. Goals for Nazarene Men Be a member of some type of small group, i.e., Sunday School class, Bible Study, etc. Be a member of an accountability group with a few other men who ask tough questions and help maintain accountability to God and to Family. Annually, participate in a men’s experience.
