13. What is Cyber-sûréte concept? Cyber-sûréte which is seen as ‘combining both the trusts necessary for assurance and the controls and rules for safety’. This is an important distinction to Cyber- security. As significantly, Cyber-sûréte enables both a safe-to-fail ecology (in which learning and testing can take place – and so adaptation) with a fail-safe existential control environment (as in a nuclear power plant).

The future is likely to be uncertain; unstable; ubiquitous and unpredictable (the four Us).
