1. Beersel Castle A visit by Year 1 and 2

2. We met our guide, Edward, who told us his name meant Keeper of the heritage. He took us for a walk around the castle telling us how the castle was defended and how it was attacked.

5. When we got to the gates, we played a small attacking game and learnt the different ways the castle was defended.

7. So, across the drawbridge and into the castle. What fun!

9. We had to climb some very steep stone stairs. It is interesting to see how well the castle had been built.

11. The views from the castle were beautiful.

13. The climb to the very top. Wow !
