What is BTSA Induction? Beginning Teacher Support and Assessment State-funded Induction Program Co-sponsored by the California Department of Education (CDE) and the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) Designed to provide opportunities for newly-credentialed, beginning teachers to expand and deepen their teaching knowledge and skills Supports a smooth transition from teacher preparation into the complex responsibilities of teaching. Fulfills the requirements for the California Clear Multiple and Single Subjects Credentials

Eligibility Induction Enrollment Employed as a PK – 12 th grade teacher Valid preliminary teaching credential –Multiple Subjects –Single Subject –Education Specialist –Designated Subjects State Funding First two years in a qualifying position at a public school Options if state funding not available: – Induction private pay – University clear credential program
