EU Digital Agenda aims to… Bridge the digital skills gap by promoting greater coordination of ICT skills initiatives at Member State level, especially by proposing digital literacy & competences as a priority of the European Social Fund. Promote the supply & demand of ICT skills in the labour market by developing tools by 2012 to identify the competences of ICT practitioners & users, so that companies seeking employees with particular ICT skills can easily compare their skills Targets for 5 year plan: 2013 - 50% of citizens should use online services 2015 - At least 50% of EU households to shop online 2015 - Increase in overall internet usage from 60 to 75% 2015 - Half the proportion of people who have never used the internet reduced from 30 to 15% 2020 - Fast broadband connections at 30Mb per second for all EU citizens with at least 50% of households at 100Mb

Telecentre Europe Telecentre projects committed together to reach “the 292million e-excluded” 80+ organizations; 33 European countries Knowledge-sharing on & off-line Advocacy before European Commission & tools at national level Developing joint funding proposals

Get online day 2010 On 4 March 2010 Telecentre-Europe held the first ever European Get Online Day. More than 50,000 people were reached by the campaign on the day itself, in 42 European countries, and the online counter recorded a total number of 68,253 people during the whole of EC eSkills Week 2010.

Employment Toolkit Telecentre-Europe has facilitated a successful partnership between a number of member organisations that led to Key Competences for All, funded under Grundtvig. This project will support enhancement of basic key competences of low qualified adults in order to improve their employability, by means of an alternative learning approach.
