As per ref, the poppy is authorized to be worn on all uniforms from the last Friday of October until Remembrance Day.
For this year, the poppy will be worn starting Friday, 25 Oct 13.
Note: The center of the poppy is black, and you shall not put a Canada Pin or any other pin in the center.
