Personal Improvement Project QC HSCI 586 Fall 2005
2
I hereby grant permission to Dr. Alemi to post this presentation on the web.
3
Project Goal To curb my television viewing hours on a daily basis – Specifically, I would like to limit my television viewing to no more than 3 hours in a given 24 hour time period, for a total of 21 hours or less in a week
4
Process Owner Checklist Following is a checklist that I reviewed in determining if there were other process owners involved in this effort. Do you share entertainment media with this person on a daily basis? Do you see this person daily or live with this person? Do you need to consider this person’s timetable as you think through yours? Does this person accompany you in watching television? Can this person’s decisions affect time of, equipment for, or other resources needed for your entertainment? If you changed your environment (e.g. discarded your TV), would it affect this person? Have you implicitly or explicitly given this person permission to make certain decisions on your behalf? Does this person affect how and when you socialize with others?
5
Improvement Team Based on the answers to the previous questions, I determined that there are no other individuals that are process owners As I currently reside by myself, the solitary participant in this personal improvement effort is me I am the only process owner involved in this project, and as a result, I am singularly accountable for any successes and failures.

Future Plans for Improvement To continue my success with this personal improvement effort, I will do the following. – Continue to occupy my time with the non- television related activities used in the project (i.e., work, studying, etc) – Engage in other activities that will divert me from watching too much television (i.e. exercise, dog walking, etc.)
