2. COMENIUS PROJECT VIRTUAL EDEN IN DUB NAD MORAVOU A CLASS FOR STUDENTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS AND THEIR PARTICIPATION IN PROJECT ACTIVITIES

3. Basic school in Dub is situated in the centre of the village, close to the local baroque church.

4. A class for students with special needs – part of an ordinary school. Since 2005 a small class for students with special needs has been a regular part of the school. All the children in the class have been diagnosed mild mental retardation. Before this class was open, such children had to attend special schools in the city, commute there every day or stay at special boarding school.

5. There are 9 children in the class, a teacher and his assistant. Each child has a special educational plan based on special education curriculum.

6. The main advantage of this integration is to allow mentally handicapped children to feel as an integral part of our school, to participate at all school events and to show others their qualities despite of health disadvantage. School fancy dress party. – Performance at Comenius meeting.

7. VIRTUAL EDEN Our special class has been involved in all creative and crafty activities that were part of the Activity calendar. Students were preparing seasonal greetings and presents for partner schools. In this photo they are working on Christmas cards.

10. Thanks to high number of Craft lessons children get very skilful and they really like creating handmade things.

12. Students of the class are very proud about their work. Each of them and mainly children from socially disadvantaged environment like going to school and help others with Virtual Eden project tasks.
