March 21 Identify the style of each piece landscape (impressionism, expressionism, realism). 1 4 3 2

March 22 Copy the following information. Paint background (part that feels farthest away from you) first. Move to middle ground and paint foreground (closest to you) last. Paint base colors first and add colors as you go. Always start with the lightest color first (yellows and whites).

March 23/24 Sketch the painting that is expressionism.

March 25 Sketch the landscape and think about the difference in brushstrokes in the foreground compared to the middle and background.

March 28 Answer each of the following questions. 1.What is the opposite of red? 2.What two colors do you mix to make orange? 3.What do you get if you take all of the yellow out of yellow green? 4.What do you mix together to get tan? 5.How do you make a color lighter without changing the color?

March 29 Sketch a landscape with something unexpected and outrageous in it. Here are some examples to inspire you but not to copy: Lollipops instead of trees. A big clothes pin instead of a building.

March 30/31 Sketch the landscape and think about the size of the dabs of painting the middle ground compared to the foreground. How many different layers of paint do you think the artist used?

April 5 Sketch the sculpture that is relief sculpture and not in the round (can see it from all sides).

April 6/7 Sketch the sunken relief sculpture (carving below the surface).

April 8 Sketch the artwork that you think is low relief.
