4. Twinning mission For the new MS, the accession countries, the candidates and the potential candidate countries: To provide institution building support (EU acquis) To organize targeted medium term administrative co-operation To meet defined Eu policy objectives

5. For whom ? From May 1998 to the year 2006: the 10 new member states The two new MS ( 01/01/2007 Romania and Bulgaria ) Candidates and potential candidates countries: Croatia, The former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Turkey, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina Montenegro, Serbia and Kosovo issues

6. From 1998 to 2006 more than 1100 TW projects benefited over 25 countries, underpinned by over 1 billion euros of EU investment.
