2 Verbs art = are, as in “Why art thou sleeping in class?” dost = do, as in “Thou dost thyself harm by sleeping” -does, as in “Mary dost not like liver” hath = has, as in “Harold hath a tooth ache”

3 Contractions ‘tis = it is, as in “’Tis a pity thou art only two feet tall.” e’er = ever, as in “Don’t e’er eateth thy peas with a knife” oft = often, as “He oft neglecteth to doeth his homework.”

4 Pronouns ye = you, as in “Gather ye together to party.” thou = subject you, as in “Thou hadst better getteth it together.” thee = object you, as in “I love thee very much.”

5 Exclamations!!! marry = By God, as in “Marry, this is a delicious sandwich.” “anon = soon, or hurry up, as in “Anon, or we’ll be late for the show.”

6 Miscellaneous whither = where, as in “Whither hast mine pet skunk gone?” wherefore = why, as in “Wherefore hast thou not done your homework?” ere = before, as in “Don’t counteth thy chickens ere they’re hatched.”
