Arts Award’s qualifications support young people to develop as artists and arts leaders develops creativity, leadership and communications skills open to anyone aged up to 25, Arts Award embraces all interests and backgrounds available at five levels, four accredited on the QCF and one introductory level

Arts Award and music inclusion… can accredit the work you are already delivering – whether freelancer or organisation accessible measures and supports each individual’s personal progress – flexible timescale accessible for young people who face barriers to learning or who may not be able to access other qualifications evidence can be collected in a range of formats, meaning that non-verbal or less confident communicators can be supported to achieve the qualification

Art of Engagement Unitas Youth Offending Teams 20017-2012 Total 1821 young people, aged 14-19, Overall 80% young people completed programme (30-50% other ETE programmes) Of these, 96% achieved Arts Award. For 80% of those who achieved Arts Award it was their first qualification Over two thirds of the young people who completed the SAC programme increased their literacy and numeracy skills (70% for literacy and 69% for numeracy). One third of the young people moved up a level in literacy and numeracy. Substantially lower re-offending rates Substantial increase in enjoyment of education
