Introduction to IT 100 The following slides contain questions that we will be covering in this course The purpose of this exercise is to gain insight on your current understandings of course concepts and to get your opinions on many of the issues we’ll be discussing throughout the semester

Instructions Set aside 1 hour for this exercise Gather paper, pen or pencil and a timer For each slide: o Set your timer for three minutes o Read the question on the first slide, and answer the question to the best of your ability. There are no right or wrong answers! Be creative—write what you think, develop new ideas—think “outside the box” o Write until the timer signals the completion of the three-minute time limit o Set your timer for three minutes and repeat the procedure for questions 2 through 16 Bring your answers to class o We will use your inputs throughout the course as points of discussion

Now That You’re Done… Remember: Bring your answers to class! o We will use your inputs throughout the course as points of discussion By the end of the semester, we will have answered all of these questions and more!

Exercise for Thursday: Select one form of digital media and devise a strategy on how you could utilize that media to help you learn Take approximately 1 – 1 ½ hours to develop a five-minute informal presentation on how you would use that form of digital media to enhance your learning— Any subject, any media--BE CREATIVE! You will present your ideas in class when we meet on Thursday
