Wanted: A Technical Architect The Technical Architect is responsible for designing and enforcing an object oriented architecture for the company’s software products and translating the documented business requirements for a system into set of specifications, consistent with this architecture, which can be used by developers in the coding process. Candidates for this position must possess a good working knowledge of modeling concepts, object oriented architecture, and the technologies used by the company in its development operation. Candidates must also possess a good working knowledge of financial and accounting business concepts.

Responsibilities: ·Design and enforcement of object oriented architecture ·Preparation of technical specifications ·Assisting with impact analyses and size estimates ·Interface with internal I.T. Department to validate approach and technologies ·Preparation and update of UML models ·Preparation and update of technical design standards ·Participation in use case & test case design reviews ·Participation in development design reviews ·Ensuring that technologies used are consistent with company strategy ·Ensuring that designs meet quality and performance objectives ·Design and control the data model for our applications

Personal Qualifications ·Good verbal communication skills ·Analytical skills ·Good writing skills ·Ability to develop creative solutions ·Good team participant ·Ability to learn quickly ·Ability to assess risks ·Must be quality oriented ·Must have business and personal maturity

Required Skills: ·Experience in Rational Unified Process (RUP) ·Experience in Unified Modeling Language (UML) ·Experience in object oriented design ·Working knowledge of software development methodologies ·Working knowledge of wholesale finance industry ·Working knowledge of financial accounting concepts ·Working knowledge or experience with these tools – o J2EE technologies o Visual FoxPro version 6 or higher o Oracle RDMS version 8 or higher o XML/XLS o Oracle Forms 9i o Microsoft Office Tools o Visio o Rational Rose ·Working knowledge of Windows NT server, Linux ·Working knowledge of internet architecture and security
