Civil War Booklet Project 1)Introduction to booklet- Write a four sentence paragraph summarizing the facts that led to the start of the American Civil War. Elaborate how these events forced warfare and they encouraged the South to quit the Union. You should a paragraph on the left page and an illustration on the right page.

Civil War Booklet Project 2)Profile of an Abolitionist- Write a four sentence paragraph on one page and explain the life and career of an influential abolitionist prior to and during the U.S. Civil War. You may use your class text to find an abolitionist and how they influenced politics.

Civil War Booklet Project 3)Causes of the Civil War- This 4 sentence paragraph should include slavery, “King Cotton”, and the election of 1860. Make sure to write your paragraph on the left page and an illustration on the right page.

Civil War Booklet Project 4) Four major battles/commanders- On this page, lists four major battles/commanders on each side and where their occurred. Make sure in your four sentence paragraph to include why these leaders/ battles were important. The right hand page should have an illustration of an battle or commander.

Civil War Booklet Project 5) Gettysburg Address- On this page, evaluate the Gettysburg Address and why it was one of the most important speeches in American History. Make sure to draw an illustration on the right hand page.

Civil War Booklet Project 6) President Abraham Lincoln- On this page, explain in a four sentence paragraph explain the importance of President Abraham Lincoln in the U.S. Civil War on the left page. Make sure to draw an illustration on the right hand page’s of President Lincoln.

How has slavery and the influence of President Abraham Lincoln effected current society and perhaps in the future?
