Detection Device Technology Scans for any type of remote device, but has limitations that are both internal and external. Wireless devices are found using their own power bands. Since most wireless are “non-transmitting” the area disturbed is very small and the detector must be very close (as close as 2” in many cases) to detect the hidden recorder/camera.
