3 By looking at the mathematical distribution of stress and strain on shark jaws, scientific researchers have found that the largest great whites have a bite force of up to 1.8 tonnes, three times the biting force of an African Lion, and 20 times harder than a human can bite. 4 Scientists have found remains of a much larger ancient shark called the “Megalodon”. Using mathematics and computer modelling they have been able to determine the size of the Megalodon as much bigger than the Great White.
