Historical Documents For each historical document follow the steps below ◦ Before Reading-Source your document ◦ During Reading- Underline evidence that helps you answer the focus question ◦ After Reading-Answer the guiding questions for the document Focus Question: Were Lewis and Clark respectful towards the Native Americans they met on the journey?

Structured Academic Controversy Step 1 Team A—argues YES Lewis & Clark were respectful Team B—argues NO Lewis & Clark were not respectful You have 10 minutes to work with you partner to find 3 pieces of evidence which support your side Complete the work on the back of your paper.
